Luxury maisons shine through their heritage and savoir-faire, but their stories must be retold in new ways to remain relevant.
For Guerlain, celebrating 170 years of the Bee Bottle meant honoring its past while exploring innovative storytelling. In 2023, AI offered a powerful medium — as long as it could serve a story both meaningful and true to its legacy.
Problem
How do you celebrate a heritage object without freezing it in the past — especially when innovation is part of the brand’s DNA?
Solution
We trained a bespoke AI model on Guerlain’s archives, and generated more than 1,800 images that reinterpreted the Bee Bottle across artistic movements and imagined futures. Guided by human creativity, these visuals became a poetic short film — bridging 1853 with 2053 and beyond.
